Disney Magical World won’t give you bed head hair.

In Disney Magical World, it really doesn’t matter if you don’t play for a week or two. Heck, it doesn’t even matter if you don’t play for over a month.

It’s different from AC in that it doesn’t penalise you for missing time in-game. I once went without even popping my head in for over a month and it didn’t make any difference — the characters were all still happy to see me, my cafe (despite having sold out of food and therefore not operating..) wasn’t boarded up with a “for sale” sign on the door… it was completely fine.

Sure, if you miss a few weeks during one of the events, there will be less chance to complete a special event Cafe set in the month or so that the event is active but other than that, there isn’t any negatives, really.

It’s a really chillax, super adorable game that loves you even if you don’t call back.. for a month, or so. And, the best part? No cockroaches or awful hair!

note: This is from my experience playing the Japanese version of the game and the final NA version might differ from the Japanese version. Thank you!

Disney Magical World Info!

Or “Disney Magical World”!

This is a guide about what we might expect from the upcoming title “Disney Magical World” coming out in NA in April! I’m using my experience with the Japanese version of the game to give an insight into how the game works and what kind of things you can expect from the title.

I’m a huge fan of Disney. Like on a super geeky level. I visit Disneyland Paris frequently and, when I lived in Japan for a year, I went to Tokyo Disney Resort over 80 times. Yep, that kind of geeky! I just can’t help it — I love Disney and always have! It’s such an awesome form of escapism. Another favourite form of escapism for me is gaming. So, when I found out that they were releasing a game that pretty much combines two of my favourite past-times, I was pretty stoked.

In fact, it’s not the first time I’ve played some form of this game. It actually originates from Disney Japan’s web site and some of the games they have on there.. like site based games. It’s still very popular now, it’s basically very similar to Disney Magical World but on the internet. It’s here if you’re interested and I’ve even written a guide to creating a character on an old blog of mine if you’re so inclined!

So yes, history lesson over. I’d basically played the site based game, known in Japan as Disney Magic Castle Online for a few years before I found out they were releasing a 3DS version in the summer of 2013. I even bought a 3DS for this title — yep, the sole reason I bought a 3DS was NOT for Animal Crossing New Leaf, it was for this game!

The game is essentially in a similar style of AC but it has a wider range of things you can do, particularly in the fact that there’s several other “worlds” you can visit via shiny portal type things. You are based in what is known as “Castle Town” in the Japanese version and the other worlds are accessible from there.

This is also where you’ll find most of the classic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Chip and Dale, Goofy, Pluto etc.. It’s where your Cafe is located and you basically live on top of your cafe in a nice room which you can freely decorate similar to AC.

Disney Magic Castle My Happy Life — Open Question Post!

07-disney-magic-castle-my-happy-life-2

This game was released in Japan on August 1st 2013 and I’ve been playing it on and off since that date. I admit that I neglected the game for a few months but recently I’ve been playing it on a daily basis and I’ve made a lot of progress. It’s a really fun, rewarding game to play.

Since the introduction of Miiverse, it’s been very easy for me to find out tips and tricks about the game and just generally appreciate it more. And the players are extremely friendly and adorable! The Miiverse page often features drawings and doodles of various Disney characters!

The main goal of the game is to collect stickers– stickers unlock a ton of neat stuff and help you progress through the game. Stickers are rewarded to you for completing various achievements (wearing 50 “perfect outfits”, catching a 100m fish etc) kind of like ACNL’s badges, I suppose!

85 stickers collected! Go me!

I’ve managed to finally reach the upper levels and it’s all thanks to the help I’ve had from kind Japanese players on Miiverse (and a few English speakers, too!) so I just want to put this post out there — if anyone needs any help with the game and is having trouble with Japanese etc, please feel free to ask me anything and I’ll try to help.

I might not be all that useful in terms of the higher level stuff (as I’m at 85 stickers) but I can definitely help with general play and how to go about your “daily activities” on the game.

So, feel free to ask away! I would totally write a guide but I’ve not got the time so questions are great!

Long time no see!

Hello!

I’ve been so neglectful with my blog and I’m really sorry I haven’t been updating all that much. Life became very busy and I had to let the internet take a back seat for a couple of months. But now I’m hoping to write more often and share some of my recent game loves!

I’m also really loving Miiverse! It’s such a fun way to interact and share tips with your favourite games. I can also finally get screenshots of my current favourite, Disney Magic Castle My Happy Life!

Hello from Castle Town!

I also received a European 3DS XL from a relative for Christmas so I can now play English games! I’m actually getting a copy of ACNL to play. I’m going to start on January 1st and try to play the entire year through. It’s a bit of a challenge but I’m looking forward to it.

So.. that’s all for now! I’ll update my games and friend codes section to include the new 3DS and my Miiverse details. Feel free to comment and add!

More coming soon!

Disney Magic Castle My Happy Life..

07-disney-magic-castle-my-happy-life-2Less than a month ’til it’s released in Japan — on August 1st! — and I cannot wait!

Is anyone else getting it?

I’m really undecided over whether I’m going to buy a physical copy or download! I’m not sure… I do kinda like having the boxes for my shelf!!

Hmm.. need to decide quickly!
